A more recent technique for the treatment of various kinds of alopecia is platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The feasibility, safety, and efficacy of using PRP injections to treat androgenic alopecia were evaluated in this prospective trial. In this study, 11 patients with androgenic alopecia who had not improved after six months of treatment with minoxidil and finasteride were enrolled. Each therapy session began with the hair pull test. An insulin syringe was used to inject 2-3 cc of PRP total into the scalp. Every two weeks, the procedure was performed a total of four times. After three months, the results were evaluated using a clinical examination, macroscopic images, a hair pull test, and the general level of patient satisfaction.
